The folks of Mobile Review managed to score a Sony Xperia ST21i Tapioca for testing purposes. This Android 4.0 handset is one of those entry level smartphones that will surely make a very good rival for the likes of HTC Desire C. Here’s the handset:
The Android 4.0 phone reminds me of the Xperia Active, especially the back side, while the front shows an interesting sloped lower area. The Tapioca comes with a 3.2 inch HVGA display, WiFi, a 3 megapixel rear camera and an 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor. There’s also 512MB of RAM on board, 3GB of storage space and a microSD card slot. Android 4.0 runs well on the device, according to the guys who previewed it. It appears that Sony Xperia ST21i Tapioca will cost around 200 euros and it will be released soon.
With models such as this one, the Desire C and the LG Optimus L3, Android is more accessible than ever, even in its latest release. Nice to see that low prices smartphones made by big brands are slowly turning into quality units. What do you think about this evolution?
