Remember that leaked video of the Nokia 900 Ace that appeared in a developer clip? Well, it turns out that the device was in fact a lower end Lumia, supposedly the 601 model, that’s now pictured below courtesy of Pocketnow. There’s also another leak coming from China, the one of the Nokia 801 model.

Nokia Lumia 601 is a Windows Phone, as you might have already figured out, but some people have been saying that this might be a mere Photoshop work and not at all a real handset. However, its source is reliable and we’ve got that leaked Nokia developer video from last week. If I were to guess the specs, this would be a phone with a 5 megapixel camera, 1GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. This is a run of the mill WP7 device actually…

My Nokia Blog claims that this device’s camera module is very similar to the one on the Nokia C7, so this may be related to that handset. As far as the Nokia 801 is concerned, this model is pictured below and it’s seen as a Nokia N8 relative or successor with Symbian Anna on board and TD-HSPA connectivity. The odd thing here is that there are no buttons in sight and there’s no room for them either…

The camera at the back is an 8 megapixel unit with dual flash and a nearby speaker grille. What’s the reason for a tweaked N8 coming to China? Or maybe this is the N8 follow-up I’ve heard talks about? Mystery continues…
