If you’re looking for a cheap Android phone, then the T-Mobile Huawei Prism may suit your needs. This is a budget phone available on T-Mobile for as low as 9.00 off contract. You can also get it for .99 with a new 2 year agreement with the carrier, after a mail in rebate.

The Huawei Prism made an appearance in early March on the web and we know that it comes with a 3.5 inch HVGA display, a 3.2 megapixel back camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the OS. Don’t wait too much for the Android 4.0 update, as that’s very unlikely to happen. Huawei Prism will initially be sold on Best Buy starting May 6 and on May 9 customers will also find it at Walmart. T-Mobile intends to release the smartphone all over the nation (including online) starting May 23rd.

Hopefully, they’ll give it for free on contract at some point, since I don’t see why they’re asking 20 bucks for a budget phone with 2 years of commitment. It would make a nice second phone if you already own a smartphone…
