We’ve heard about Sony ST21i Tapioca before, but this time we have a confirmation of its rumored specs, courtesy of a leaked benchmark. The ST21i Tapioca is supposed to be a lower end device made by Sony and a device that packs a sub 1 GHz CPU and other similar features.

What you see here is the NenaMark 2 benchmark result for the Tapioca, that reveals its resolution and CPU. We’re dealing with a phone that uses 512 MB of RAM, a 3. 2 inch 320 x 480 pixel display and a 3 megapixel camera. This model was supposed to debut with Android 4.0 ICS, but I highly doubt that after seeing the specs. The CPU is a Qualcomm unit with Adreno 200 GPU. I see this handset as a rival for the HTC Wildfire S, or better yet, the Wildfire C, that’s rumored to be the lower end model of the One Series.

It appears from the benchmark that the phone is actually running Android 4.0.3, unbelievable as it may seem, showing once again that this OS can run on some of the lowest specced devices out there. However, I’m certainly more interested in the rumored Xperia Hayabusa high end unit than this newcomer…
