T-Mobile G2x is one of the most popular dual core handsets right now, since it’s the first in the world with this feature after all. Now the device makes the news again, as it was spotted running CyanogenMod 7, as you can see in the pictures below.

We remind you that this is the US version of the LG Optimus 2X, the first dual core handset ever, that was released with Android 2.2 Froyo on board. While we’re waiting for Android 2.3 Gingerbread to be made available for this phone, we’re happy to find out that CyanogenMod 7 will bring this OS unofficially to the LG smartphone.

T-Mobile will probably take months to release Android 2.3 for the LG Optimus 2X, but CyanogenMod is yet to arrive, in spite of these images. The devs still need resources and the source from LG to mess with the code. G2X users can still root the phone and flash a test custom recovery image…
