One of the hottest soft keyboards available for Android, Swype, is less than a year old, but it has plenty going for it.  We just received an email from Swype’s PR company which was full of milestones and accomplishments.  No longer a secret beta project known only to Android insiders, Swype has become a favorite pre-loaded keyboard option.  We’ve pasted some of their feats over the last year.  Find them after the break!Behold the impressive list:

  • 20 devices launched/announced across 50 countries including marquee handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy S, Motorola Droid, and the T-Mobile G2 by HTC
  • Expanded device portfolio to tablets premiering with the Samsung Galaxy Tab launching globally this year with multiple carriers
  • Swype was preloaded on eight out of the last 12 Android device launches in the US
  • Support for over 40 languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Danish, Dutch, Malay, Russian, Finnish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Swedish, Serbian, Czech, Greek, Polish, Indonesian, Norwegian, Icelandic, Chinese, Japanese and Turkish among others
  • .6 million in funding to date from Nokia Growth Partners, Samsung Ventures and DOCOMO Capital Inc, with 2% of the company set aside to fund disability research
  • And of course… two “World Records” set for the fastest text message on a touch screen mobile phone
