What an incredible week for Android announcements!  After seeing seven devices from Motorola yesterday, the momentum continues with three more phones headed for Sprint.  The boys and girls running the Now Network just officially unveiled the Sanyo Zio, Samsung Transform, and LG Optimus S.  We’ve briefly touched on each one of these over the last few day but we’ll give you the details once again.

The Sanyo Zio runs Android 2.1 and features a 3.5-inch WVGA touch-screen, 3.2 MP camera, and 512 MB internal memory.  At .5” thick and weighing only 3.7 ounces, this phone is one of the thinnest and lightest Android devices on the market. Other details include Bluetooth support, CDMA2000 1xEV-DO rev. A, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g), and GPS navigation. Look for the Zio at a Sprint store near you this coming Sunday (October 10). Pricing is .99 with a new two-year service agreement or eligible upgrade
and after a 0 mail-in rebate

The sliding QWERTY Samsung Transform also offers a 3.5-inch screen, Android 2.1, and a 3.2-megapixel camera. Unlike the Zio however, the Transform features a front-facing camera and gets its power from an 800MHz processor with 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM. This one also arrives on October 10 with a 9.99 price tag with a two-year service agreement and after a 0 mail-in-rebate.

The LG Optimus S is the least expensive of the trio, dropping for .99 with a new two-year service agreement and 0 mail-in rebate. Unlike the other two, this guy runs Android 2.2 but features similar specs. There’s a 3.2-inch screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, and support for mobile hotspots. Like we said earlier today, look for the Optimus S on Halloween, October 31.
