Good news for those of you interested in picking up the Galaxy Tab announced last week.  According to Samsung product executive Hankil Yoon, the Android 2.2 tablet could sell for between 0 and 0 when it debuts with wireless providers.  The final pricing will depend on carrier subsidy, but this is an encouraging starting point.

I expect the hardware maker to adopt a similar strategy for the tablet as they have for their Galaxy S line of phones.  In other words, don’t be surprised to see them drop one on a carrier near you.  Although Samsung has been putting out Android smart phones since the middle of 2009, the Galaxy S handsets and Galaxy Tab could help make them synonymous with  quality Android devices.

Samsung’s  Yoon tells the Wall Street Journal that they plan to ship 10 million Galaxy Tabs next year and hope to have one third of the global tablet market next year. Like they have with the Galaxy line of phones, Samsung is eventually plans an entire line of tablets.  exploring the possibility of a tablet with a 10-inch or six-inch screen, and Mr. Yoon said the company plans eventually to introduce a family of Galaxy Tab devices.
