After a visit from her grandchildren, princes William and Harry, Queen Elizabeth II noticed that they had some really nifty gadgets with them, so she required that her staff buys an iPad. Last time the Queen was in the same sentence as gadgets, she was a Nintendo Wii fan, playing its games quite often.

You must also know that the Queen owns two iPods, with the second being a gift from President Barack Obama. Obama gave Elizabeth this device filled with pictures of the Queen from back when she visited Virginia in her US tour. A inside source from the British royal court is claiming that monarch had never seen an iPad before and she was fascinated by it.

Queen Elizabeth liked the big screen of the iPad, its low weight and the user-friendly interface. We’re expecting the 85 year old monarch to quickly take up Angry Birds and maybe break down a high score or two…
