Samsung has just announced a bunch of figures that confirm the fact that the Galaxy S II smartphone will be a hit. Turns out that international carriers pre-ordered 3 million units of this smartphone, making the product become one of the highest pre-ordered devices made by Samsung.

The Asian company will release its flagship phone in over 120 countries via 140 mobile carriers and you can already find the phone on sale in South Korea and the UK, with more countries to follow till the end of the month. Galaxy S II runs Android 2.3 OS and packs a 1.2GHz dual core processor, a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display and an 8MP camera with 1080p video recording.

Samsung expects this product to reach 10 million sold units, just like its predecessors, that achieved this performance back in 2010.
