Babylon has become a trusted source for a quick translation need for the masses.  Whether it’s our 10AM Spanish class or that spur-of-the-moment dinner in Venice, we find ourselves needing to say something in a foreign language.  Online translators have been around since the internet itself, but the problem has always been that the majority of the time, the translations just aren’t that accurate.  Babylon2Go aims to make things easier with their free translator application which supports over 75 languages with full text translations available in various languages.

The software is very user-friendly and  is one of the better translation apps that I personally have used.  According to PRNewswire, Babylon has found a home in over 70 million desktops in 200 countries.  With credentials like that, they must be doing something right.  On the downside, if you are using a standard version of Android (non-rooted)  and it is set to your specific locale, not all of the languages will be visible, because of the GUI and Font packs, so if someone in the US wants to try their luck at a casino in Abu-Dhabi, they will be rewarded with an illegible translation, but for most, it is a great tool for a word or two on the go!
