Since HTC’s got Facebook phones and INQ too, why wouldn’t this trend be picked up by all the major phone makers? Motorola is among them and now the EX225 handset pops up again, complete with Facebook button and rebranded as Motorola Motokey Social. This handset is supposed to debut on Telus soon.

We’re dealing with a portrait QWERTY phone here, one that doesn’t use Android, as some have predicted. Instead, the Motokey relies on Motorola’s own OS, maybe something extracted out of their own MOTOBLUR UI experience. The handset provides access to Gmail, Facebook, Twitter and it comes with a 2.4 inch touchscreen display and a 3 megapixel camera.

As you can see, the Facebook button is integrated at the bottom of the four row QWERTY keyboard on this handset. We’re expecting a very reasonable price here, since this looks like a product for youngsters. Let’s see how Telus will price it…
