LG to bring it in 2011 with Gingerbread-equipped Star?

Ahh, LG. They’ve made some decent Android handsets in the last year or so. There was the Ally for Verizon, that E720 we caught a glimpse of in Poland, and most recently, the Optimus series on Tmobile, Verizon, and Sprint. But they never really excelled at Android. They haven’t made us look at one of their devices and say “wow!” Well, that’s about to change. Meet the LG Star, a leaked device that’s likely coming out in Q1 of next year. It’s rockin’ a 4-inch screen, an 8MP camera with 1080p video capture, and an LED flash. The Star also comes with a nice front-facing camera, a 1500 mAH battery, and a “nearly stock” version of Android, hence the large Google logo on the back. But wait, there’s more. The Star is expected to be going to T-Mobile, which would greatly help them stay in the race with the other three carriers. No word on whether or not it’ll be HSPA+ compatible, but we’ll keep you posted.

We here at AndroidGuys try to save the best for last. You’re probably wondering about what kind of CPU this baby is going to run, no? The Star is set to be using a Tegra 2 1GHz DUAL CORE processor. Yes, we said DUAL CORE.
