LG has just confirmed officially its new Android 2.3 Gingerbread handset, the Optimus Sol E730. This device comes with an Ultra AMOLED display, that’s able to display bright images even in the sunniest conditions. Another appealing feat is the mere 9.8mm thickness of the handset.

Optimus Sol is a single core 1 GHz device, with WiFi, DLNA, HSDPA, GPS and a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with an incredible battery life. This battery life is achieved through an ultra-efficient power management system that increases the life by 20 to 30%. The screen of the smartphone measures 3.8 inches in diagonal and supports a WVGA pixel resolution.

We don’t have an exact price for this phone, but at least we know its release time frame: mid September for Europe and the following weeks for Latin America and the rest of the world. This is supposed to be a 1GHz affordable phone, actually one of the most affordable Gingerbread AMOLED devices.
