In what looks like a video of a concept iPhone 5 we discovered a funny little feature, that mocks up the security measures usually provided with handsets. There’s a self destruct feature here for this edge to edge screen iPhone, that once it detects you entered the password wrong too many times, it cracks up the screen.

The folks of AatmaStudio put this together and they’ve done similar cool tricks before, creating all sorts of original concepts, like the iPad 3 that sticks to other iPads with magnets of the iPhone 5 concept with projector keyboard. I wonder what they’ll come up with next and I’d certainly like to see Apple going to them for making quirky commercials, not merely doing those family-oriented ads with indie music. I know that Apple would never kill your handset once it got stolen, but at least they could activate that feature that takes a picture of the person who stole the phone without them knowing it.

Anyway, the iPhone 5 is rumored to be announced this fall, unless it’s shown at WWDC 2012 in June. Till then you can have wet dreams about edge to edge Retina Displays with 4 inch diagonals and maybe a quad core CPU inside…
