HTC One X just come to us for testing purposes and we’re playing with the quad core Tegra 3 version of the handset as we speak. Meanwhile, in some regions of the world, like the USA you’ll get the One X as a dual core Snapdragon S4 unit with LTE, since Tegra 3 has some kind of beef with this connectivity standard. Now let’s see what’s in the box:
We’re testing the white version of the One X, that comes with a bunch of manuals, the charger, the microUSB cable and the headphones that are not Beats Audio models. The device feels incredibly light and thin in the hand, especially for such a big fellow, at 4.7 inches. It supports a 720p resolution and runs Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.0. The interface has truly changed and it’s much more efficient and fluid now. We have a brand new camera UI and the widget area is also totally changed.
The app area also looks different and provides some useful application arrangements and quick access to the Play Store. Other things I must mention are the lack of a microSD card slot, the presence of a 32GB internal memory, a microSIM card slot and a non removable battery. Apparently, we should have had some little metallic key inside the box, but our unit came without it, simply with the recommendation to insert something sharp near the microSIM area to let it loose, much like we did with the iPhones from the past years.
