HTC EVO 4G has a very nice successor as the HTC EVO 3D, the Taiwanese company’s first tridimensional screen/camera unit. Slashgear took this unit for a spin and the results were pretty impressive. We’re dealing with a dual core phone here, one that packs a 1.2GHz CPU and also a qHD screen.

This display is a 4.3 inch one with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution and the ability to display 3D graphics without requiring special glasses. At the back of the device you’ll find twin 5 megapixel cameras, while upfront there’s a 1.3 megapixel unit for video chat. It’s not always a 3D affair with this model, that also gets a 2D/3D switch, if you want to go back to regular graphics.

HTC EVO 3D runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, customized with the HTC Sense 3.0 UI and looking pretty hot, especially in 3D. The test unit came with some 3D photos preloaded and some 3D games such as Spider-Man 3D, but this is were rivals such as the LG Optimus 3D win, since they have more games included.

Battery life is impressive, according to folks who tested the smartphone. EVO 3D comes with a 1730mAh battery, that should provide an entire day of usage, with no problem. This included 2D/3D capture, browsing, phone calls and even gaming, for over 7 hours of functioning time with a charge.
