The illustrious Samsung Galaxy S handset gets a little more illustrious-er today with news that the phone has become the first Android phone to become DivX Certified for HD video playback at 720p resolution.  To be clear, this is actually the second handset overall to receive the honors, following Samsung’s Wave.  If you’ve been living under a rock for the last few months, the Galaxy S features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz processor, and wicked awesome 3-D graphics.  Having these three features in your phone are going to allow for amazing video playback, but DivX support seals the deal.
