The folks of mobilecrunch recently got to spend some quality time with the freshly announced BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 and found it to be the same size and shape as its predecessors. The device comes with a large and comfortable keyboard and an attractive back cover.

At 10.5mm, this is the thinnest BlackBerry smartphone yet, but still thicker than the 9.3mm iPhone 4 and the 9.2mm LG Optimus Black. In case you were wondering, Bold 9900 and 9930 are one and the same phone, except for the fact that the latter comes with US-oriented connectivity options. The main novelty on the devices is the BlackBerry 7 OS and the Liquid Graphics 60 FPS display.

This screen is a 287 dpi one, with a 2.8 inch diagonal and another improvement of the new Bold is the inclusion of HSPA+ connectivity.
