Sometimes you start to hate the whole April Fools thing… especially when you’re a journalist searching for solid info on April 2nd. So, is the following port of Windows Phone 7 on a Nokia N8 a prank or the real thing? We have the Mobilecrunch analysis, our own and your comments below. Any ideas?

We tend to believe it’s a fake, mostly because the OS is shown a few seconds on the Nokia N8 screen and there’s a strange swiping more at 0:09 in the video. Also, what’s the deal with the tile on the right of Messaging one? It looks strange and it keeps changing numbers displayed… All in all, we tend to think this is a major fake, although we’d love such a port.

However, in months from now we’ll get our very own Windows Phone 7 Nokia devices and this time for real!
