Last week saw Sony’s movie and television streaming service, Crackle, come to Android phones. Started as an online video sharing service (Grouper Networks) back in 2004, Crackle is now home to full-length movies and television shows. Although currently owned by Sony, the service does feature content from other studios. A quick look at Crackle’s website shows movies such as The Professional, 8MM, Taxi Driver and a lot more. The free version of their Android app allows for condensed clips of TV shows while the premium version runs .99/month which provides access to full-length movie from Sony Pictures Classic, Columbia Pictures, Tri-Star, and Screen Gems.
