I don’t know what you’re doing on August 15th, but what I do know what T-Mobile in planning: the release of the Samsung T699… with a rebranding. It appears that the model will be released as the Galaxy S Blaze Q, which is a very strange and silly name. Are you going to ask in stores for a Galaxy S Blaze, a Blaze S Q or a Galaxy Q?

Anyway, this handset is a version of the Samsung Galaxy S III apparently, with a sliding keyboard, 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor and 720p display. Other specs include a 5 megapixel back camera and 1GB of RAM, so not exactly the 2GB of RAM and 8MP shooter were expecting.. Also, it doesn’t say anything about the screen size, that I expect to be somewhere between 4 and 4.3 inches in diagonal. At least, the resolution is still 720p…

Is it just me or is this the actual first Snapdragon S4-based sliding QWERTY phone? Some people still love that format and that’s as powerful as it gets right now, when it comes to raw CPU power and performance. Now imagine a quad core Snapdragon and drool!
