If you’re a Virgin Mobile customer ready to go eco-friendly, there’s a new handset to consider: Samsung Restore. 80% of the device is made of recyclable materials and we’re dealing with a QWERTY slider here, as shown below. Even the packaging of the handset is 100% recycled material, in case you’re wondering.

The device sports a 4 row keyboard, a 2 megapixel camera and a pretty tiny display: 1.4 x 1.9 inch with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution. There’s also a microSD card slot on board, with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution. Samsung Restore supports social networking, among other things with services like Twitter, Facebook and MySpace being available on it.

Google Maps and Virgin Navigator will tell you where to eat your veggie burgers, while Gmail, AOL and Hotmail will allow you to stay green and communicate at the same time. If you want a smartphone… well, that’s not a very eco-friendly option these days.
