Samsung and AT&T have just announced the Exhilarate handset, with LTE and eco-friendly allure. It will be available from June 10, with a on contract price tag. This model supports AT&T’s 4G LTE connectivity and is certified by the Underwriters Laboratories for being made using eco-friendly materials.
The handset is mare from 80% post-consumer waste material and has an energy efficient charger. As far as hardware goes, this model packs a 4 inch Super AMOLED screen, dual core 1.2 GHz Scorpion processor, a 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture and a 1.3MP front shooter. There’s also WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and support for AT&T’s U-verse Live TV. The device also offers voice recognition and its energy efficient charger will let the user know when the device is fully charged.
AT&T also promised to offer two custom case options by Incipio, for this model. These are ECO Silicrylic cases, made from biodegradable and recycled materials. They’re composed of two parts: inner silicone rubber made of recycled silicone regrind material and out bio resin plastic shell. And here’s a video of the device in action:
