Rovio Releases Angry Birds Seasons, Adds 70 Levels of Christmas and Halloween Fun!

Let’s just assume you’ve already cleared every level of Angry Birds on your Android handset.  And let’s also assume you have three stars for each level.  What do you do now?   Well, if you would have asked us yesterday we would tell you to read a book or something productive.  Today, however, we’re recommending you download and play the 70 new levels in Angry Birds Seasons!

Rovio just dropped a new bundle of joy in the Android Market and it’s not a simple add-on package to the existing game.  As one might guess by its name, Seasons is all about that holiday cheer shared between birds and pigs.  There are 25 new levels* to play themed around Christmas, snow, and presents.  Once you complete those levels, move on to the Halloween-themed levels that iPhone users got back in October.  We’ll be honest here and admit that we were a bit jealous of the 45 level pack that Apple owners were treated to a few weeks back.

We get the sense that this Angry Birds Seasons app will see a lot of love and expansion over time.  We can imagine all sorts of new levels to play, grouped together with common season themes.

*For the Season’s Greedings portion of the game, only one level will be unlocked per day.  You know, it’s an Advent Calendar sort of thing!  If you clear level one today, you’ll need to wait until midnight tonight to get the next level.
