In case you didn’t know, Philips is in the phone making biz and now they’ve even announced a dual SIM smartphone, the W635 model. Seen in the images below, this device has reasonable specs and I’d place it in the mid end segment. It supports 3G HSDPA connectivity and packs a 4 inch display.

Said display is a WVGA touchsreen and we’ve also got a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus on board. The Philips W635 can act as an USB modem and WiFi hotspot and it also comes with GPS and support for 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity. Last I heard about Philips, they were making phones with outstanding battery life, so that’s what sets them apart from rivals. Back to the dual SIM W635, this device weighs 157 grams, runs Android 2.3 and measures 11.5mm. Its CPU is a Qualcomm MSM7227A, accompanied by 512MB of storage, with 70MB available to the user.

Other specs to consider: 480 x 800 resolution, microSD card slot, WiFI, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and a Li-Ion 1630 mAh battery that I’m sure will give you plenty of juice for about 2-3 days of usage. Sadly we have no price for this unit…
