We knew that something was cooking for early September 2012, as far as Nokia is concerned and now we get some official invitations to confirm that suspicion. It appears that Nokia and Microsoft have sent out invites to journalists and people close to the matter to an event based on Windows Phone, taking place on September 5th.

As a coincidence (or maybe not), that’s the same day as the Nokia World debut, so we’re bound to see some new Lumias appearing. Rumors have been abundant over the past months and leaks too, as everyone dreams about a Lumia phone with a Pureview camera. The invite has a pretty big reference to Nokia Maps, but I’m sure there’s also some Lumia love to be shown. Nokia is expected to announce its lineup of Windows Phone 8 devices and maybe some new Asha series handsets, too, just like last year.

Also, we could see a first Jolla OS smartphone and maybe a Windows 8 tablet from the Finns. At least a dual core HD display Nokia phone with WP8 would be good to see and hopefully they won’t recycle the N9 design yet again…
