After so many high end smartphones, it’s time to sink into the midrange segment and have a look at the Motorola Pro. This handset costs a bit over 0 without contract, so it’s an interesting device to get, if you’re into physical QWERTY keyboards plus touchscreens and the Froyo experience. And now here’s the unboxing of the lovely little phone, or at least a first picture:

The video of the unboxing can be seen below and you must know that this is most certainly not a high end offering. Instead we get a midrange device, with a plastic case, a pretty beefed up chassis and a 3.1 inch display with 320 x 480 pixel resolution. There’s also that physical keyboard below the display, serving its purpose well, if you liked cramped typing experiences. The device’s box includes a microUSB cable, the manual, headphones, the charger, battery and battery cover.

Motorola Pro looks like a cheaper BlackBerry rival, or a model that rivals the likes of the Nokia E6 if you want. It has a 5 megapixel camera, a TI OMAP 1GHz CPU and Android 2.2 Froyo as the operating system. In a couple of days I’ll be back with the full review of the device, so we’ll know if it’s worth the trouble or not.
