MetroPCS is looking to break out in 2011 with big Android plans. The nation’s fifth largest wireless provider expects to make a half dozen Android handsets available by the end of 2011 with their next device coming as soon as February. Look for the follow-up to the Optimus M to arrive around CES/Mobile World Congress with a slew of announcements in the coming summer months.
In a hint of things to come, MetroPCS CEO Roger D. Linquist said they forecast prices to start below 0 and go up to the 0-0 range. That’s one heck of a starting price for unsubsidized phones if you ask us!
Our question to MetroPCS is this – when are we going to see this Motorola handset? Are you guys waiting until it’s so outdated that it’s worth less than 0 to begin with?
