South American publication Bom Dia is reporting that the famous Chinese manufacturer Foxconn could build a factory especially for Apple products in Brazil. Right now, the company already has two assembly lines in Jundiai, Brazil, but these are intending for HP and Sony device production.
Foxconn has been doing some research, as far as the concept of a new plant is concerned. Manufacturing Apple units in Brazil instead of China means less shipping time needed, which is good news, as fear of iPhone and iPad shortages appeared recently. The Cupertino giant refuses to comment on speculation, while the Chinese firm didn’t deny that it considering opening a third production line in Brazil, but no info on Apple products was revealed.
Analysts are claiming that the iPhone maker generates billion of the total Foxconn .4 billion, so it’s not a crucial partner, or one to worry about. Since Apple has been struggling to get the iPad 2 out everywhere in the world, with launches delayed in the Czech Republic for example, we wonder if the Chinese production isn’t to blame for this…
