In today’s world, it’s not enough to use a smartphone to call people, text or email them. Now you have to like what they’re saying on Facebook and tweet about what you’re doing. Thus, it’s only logical that we’re going to see these needs addressed. We saw two HTC phones with Facebook buttons and now Apple is supposed to add a Twitter button to iOS 5.

The info comes from tech blogger Robert Scoble, who mentions that he knows someone who built Twitter integration into the new iOS and says that we’ll love it. YouTube is already integrated into the iPhone’s interface and now Twitter will also come, maybe as a software tweeting button. Facebook could follow soon, since it’s popular enough to get its own HTC phones and a model from Vodafone.

WWDC 2011 starts tomorrow and it’ll be perfect to catch a glimpse at iOS 5 and maybe that hot new Twitter button.
