In a press release today PapayaMobile, the open mobile social gaming network for Android, announced that it is teaming up with InMobi.  InMobi has the distinction of being the world’s largest global mobile advertising network, touting 21.2 billion mobile ad impressions monthly. (kind of wish I had their adsense account lol)

Both companies are major forces in Asia and have a strong presence in Europe.  The recently launched efforts in North America, which the launching of this partnership hopes to grow.

What does this mean for devs?  Another option for monetizing their apps through ads, impressions and clicks on one of the biggest mobile gaming platform sdk’s out there. (outside of the US at least).

From the press release:

“InMobi offers a comprehensive mobile advertising solution and has a large presence across Asia and India,” said Si Shen, cofounder and CEO of PapayaMobile. “Partnering will allow us to combine strengths and give InMobi’s developers access to Papaya’s millions of users – creating a one-stop solution for Android developers who want to increase exposure for their apps and gain traction with new users.”

I’m no developer, but that sounds like a lot of users to get an app in front of!
