HTC Merge is the Taiwanese company’s first Android handset to go CDMA world phone and it’s coming to North America this spring, according to a recent statement. This is a sliding QWERTY handset with Android 2.2 on board and the HTC Sense experience available as well.
There’s a 3.8 inch touchscreen display on board, accompanied by a 5 megapixel camera at the back, with autofocus and flash. 3G connectivity, GPS and WiFi complete the specs list, as well as social networking via Flickr, Facebook and Twitter (through HTC FriendStream).
Multiple operators will launch this device in North America, so you might get the product renamed and with different prices and subsidies. The price is a mystery right now, but we’ll let you know once we find the info out.
