After a period of speculations on who will make the Google Nexus 3, with LG and HTC as the favorite, we have some new info on the project. The info doesn’t involve a picture, but what we have here is a series of specs, that sadly don’t include a quad core processor.

A BGR source is saying that the third Google Phone might be called the Nexus 4G and it’s likely to feature a dual core TI OMAP 4460 processor or maybe a Snapdragon from Qualcomm with ultra low power use. The processor will reach 1.2 to 1.5GHz, so this not the quad core Kal-El from Nvidia that we hoped to see on the new unit.

The specs also include a 720p HD display, that’s said to be huge, plus 4G LTE connectivity and 1GB of RAM. No hardware buttons will be present and the camera will be a 5MP one, but with enhanced capabilities, it seems. Add a 1MP camera upfrott and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and you’ve got a perfect picture of the new Nexus. Launch should come at Thanksgiving time this year.
