Adobe recently announced that we’ll finally get to use Flash on the iPhone and iPad, through the Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5 and Adobe Flash Access 3.0 products. These pieces of software fill in the blanks that Apple left, as it rejected the Adobe Flash technology for years.

What’s really cool is that these new solutions don’t even require Apple’s approval. Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5 allows media publishers to deliver content using a stream on information on both Flash-enabled devices and the iPhone/iPad. There’s no need for Flash support within Safari, it seems and this means that there’s no need to rely on the iPhone’s CPU to render the stream, as all the work is done by Adobe and its servers.

Flash Media Server is available for publishers at the price of ,500. Among the features that this solution includes there’s the on demand stream packaging, integrated content protection, while Flash Access 3.0 offers premium video monetization.
