Sorry folks, there’s not going to be a Facebook phone.  Mark Zuckerberg was quick to point out that the company was not designing a smart phone.  Instead, they announced a new platform for developers and mobile app integration.  However, in what’s likely going to please many of you readers, the Facebook app for Android is getting a punch up.  Look for an updated version of the app to roll out with support for Places and Groups as well as improved notifications.  In fact, if you check your phone now, you’ll likely see the new 1.4 version of Facebook for Android.
