Well, that didn’t take very long! Days after the release of the Motorola Droid 2, some crazy hacker over at XDA has managed to port the multitouch virtual keyboard over to the Droid Incredible, the original Droid, Nexus One, Evo 4G, and Htc Desire. But, there’s a catch: the keyboard only works on certain ROMs. XDA user InvisibleK ported the sleek multitouch keyboard to the above devices, but it only works on the following ROMs:

CM6 Nightlies/Tests (Incredible)
jdfroyo v1.9 (Incredible)
Skyraider 2.? (Incredible)
8/1 froyo leak (Incredible)
aiccucs 4.2 (Incredible)

CM6 (evo)

Bugless Beast 4 (Motorola Droid)
Ultimate Droid Extreme Froyo 6.00 (Motorola Droid)

CM6 (Nexus One)
modaco r21 (Nexus One)

DeFrost 2.6a (Desire)

So, if you’ve got one of these devices/ROMs, and you’re feeling brave, head on over to the XDA thread to try it out for yourself! Good luck!
