Motorola Droid 4 has been rumored for a while now and we finally have it officially, through an announcement coming from Moto at CES 2012. People call this the “Droid RAZR with keyboard” and they’re not so far off from the real identity of this phone when making this statement. This handset will come to Verizon Wireless soon enough and as you can see here, it sports a sliding 5 row QWERTY keyboard.

The Droid 4 is a mere half inch thick and it comes with 4G LTE and a line of compatible accessories, including a 10.1 inch lapdock and 14 inch lapdock with webcam. A HD Dock, HD Station and Vehicle Navigation Mount are also included among the accessories. I see this is as a follow-up to the Milestone series and also as an alternative to the developer-only Nokia N950, if you want. Here’s the specs list for the newcomer:

  • CPU: 1.2GHz, dual core
  • Memory: 1GB RAM, 16GB internal, microSD slot
  • OS: Android 2.3.5, Android 4.0 upgrade soon
  • Display: 4 inch, qHD
  • Camera: 8MP, 1080p video
  • Connectivity: 4G LTE, mobile hotspot feature, WiFi, Bluetooth

The handset also features scratch and scrape resistant glass, water repellant nanocoating for splashes, HDMI mirroring and Motocast. Will you get it from Verizon or are you more excited about the Droid RAZR Maxx?
