Centennial Communications Getting in on Android Action, Milestone and Wildfire Coming

Centennial Communications might a long way off from AT&T and Verizon as the ninth largest wireless telecommunications in The United States, but they are ready to start acting like a bigger player.  We received a tip this morning from someone working for the carrier who tells us that the Motorola Milestone XT720 will be announced later today with the release date of next Monday, August 23rd.  Further, our source says they’ve seen an HTC Wildfire floating around the hands of management and that we should expect something soon.

With only a million or so subscribers, Centennial Communications operates in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana as well as the Southeastern states of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. It’s nice to see them adopt Android so quickly, considering they just launched their first BlackBerry devices in 2007. Welcome to the party!
