One of the Droid Life readers said that he was part of a Casio focus group recently, that detailed some of the future products and technologies belonging to this company. Among them there was a very interesting quad core LTE phone, that might just become a hit, unlike other Casio handset models.

Quoted under the name Casio Big Boy, the inside source details here a Casio phone with a very slim waistline, around 7.9mm actually. The device also features a 4.5 inch or 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display, a quad core processor, NFC and 4G LTE connectivity. This Casio hotshot is also supposed to have an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 2MP cam upfront and a 2000 mAh battery. The focus group insider also mentions that the handset runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and that it has an USB port on the top left, headphone jack on the top right and microSD on the left side of the unit.

The design of this newcomer is described as very simplistic and the top and bottom sides are curved, much like the Galaxy Nexus. Other innovations proposed by Casio include clamshell designs for phones, with 4 different form factors being shown here. Multitasking is also shown on these phones, as well as drag and drop from one screen to the other and it seems that this clamshell phones are also very thin. Also on the list of things to come is a 5 inch huge device, with a mockup being shown to the participants and a new G’Zone unit by Casio, with a design similar to its predecessors and rugged features.

Excited about the news?
