The guys at ACS (Android Creative Syndicate) Team managed to get hold of an official test build of Gingerbread for the Samsung Epic 4G handset and turned it into a ROM for rooted users. The software version is ED12 and the ROM is not quite ready for full functionality.

Stuff like 4G support and GPS is lacking from this customized software and the usual bugs and issues are present. Well, at least we’re on the right track and you can get a taste of Gingerbread on the Samsung Epic 4G in the video below. Remember that you phone must be rooted in order to apply this leaked update, so don’t try this without proper guidelines.
