Imagine a device that runs Android with the MIUI ROM from the sale point, plus it sports a dual core 1.5GHz CPU and also has a 0 price tag. Isn’t that just dandy? This unit comes from China and it’s dubbed the Xiaomi Phone.

For such a cheap price, you really get incredible specs and I’m still looking for a catch right here. A factor of trust is the fact that Foxconn (the iPhone maker) is the company manufacturing these handsets. Xiaomi Phone comes with a dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm 8260 Snapdragon chipset, Adreno 220 graphics and 1GB of RAM.

There’s also a powerful 1930 mAh battery, plus a 4 inch LCD display with 480 x 854 pixel resolution, yet another appealing feature. Bonus… the display is made by Sharp. The smartphone measures 11.9mm in thickness, weighs 149 grams and it even supports dual GSM/3G connectivity. The camera is also a good choice, at 8MP in resolution. Add WiFi, 4GB of ROM, a microSD card slot and Android 2.3.5 as the core of the custom ROM…

I’m really finding it hard to believe that such a price exists… supposedly there’s also a 1.2GHz dual core unit that’s even cheaper!
