Starting this week, T-Mobile will be offering four Android-based handsets below the 0 price point.  While they aren’t necessarily the high-end super phones some of you readers might be after, they will definitely attract new Android users.  The devices come from handset makers LG, Motorola, and Huawei with varying prices and specs.  If you have someone in your life ready to make the jump from feature phone to smart phone, these will provide the perfect entry point.

  • The T-Mobile Comet (Huawei) arrives on November 3 for .99 after a mail-in-rebate with a two-year service agreement.  The compact phone features a 528 MHz processor, 2.8-inch display and a 3.2 megapixel camera. It’s also worth pointing out that the Comet is available for prepaid customers at 0 and zero commitment.
  • The LG Optimus T also debuts this week (November 3) with a .99 sticker after a mail-in-rebate with a two-year service agreement.  Hardware includes a 600 MHz processor, 3.2-inch display,  and a 3.2 megapixel camera with video capture.
  • The ruggedized Motorola DEFY runs .99 after a mail-in-rebate with a two-year service agreement and comes with an 800MHz processor, a 3.7-inch, and a 5-megapixel camera with flash and video capture..
  • The Motorola CHARM runs .99 after a mail-in rebate with a two year service agreement and features a 600MHz processor and a 3 megapixel camera.
