Point Inside 2.0 Brings Free Airport, Mall Maps to Android Devices

Point Inside Inc. is announcing today that the v2.0 of their “Destination Smart Map’ has arrived on Android phones.  What does this mean to you?  Well, how about free, searchable maps and directories to more than 800 of the world’s airports and shopping malls?  Point Inside makes it a breeze to find stores, restaurants, restrooms, and much more.   Getting off your plane and wondering where that connection flight will be?  Thanks to its airplane mode support, you can pull out Point Inside  while in the air and figure out which terminal you will need to head to and whether or not there is a bathroom along the way.  

Having traveled twice in the last four days (BigAndroidBBQ), I would have loved to have used Point Inside.  As big as Atlanta’s airport is, it’s easy to get lost or have a tough time figuring out where to get your Starbucks fix.  The same could be said for destinations like Minnesota’s Mall of America.  Forget looking for one of those “You are here” maps that are sporadically throughout malls, carry a digital one with you instead!
