Well folks, this is as close as you’re going to get to the Samsung Galaxy S III at least for a few more hours! Meet the Pantech Vega Racer 2, a device with specs that are very close to the ones rumored for Galaxy S III. We’re dealing with a 4.8 inch 720p LCD device with ceramic coating and LTE.

This model will debut in Korea next week, with Android 4.0 and launching on all 3 major Korean cellular carriers. Pantech also offers a 2,020 mAh battery and the already famous Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor. This combo should give the user about 9.5 hours of talk time and 245 hours of standby, with LTE also on board. And all of this technology is crammed inside a 9.35mm thick handset, which is not that bad by today’s standards. The device weighs 133 grams and comes with voice recognition for numerous tasks.

What’s cool is that you can even take pictures simply by commanding the Pantech Vega Racer 2 via voice. The case is not all ceramic, it’s merely ceramic coated and hopefully we won’t get the issues with chipping that the HTC One S had weeks ago. What we don’t have here is the price of this model and also the type of technology that the screen uses. Here’s to hoping for Super AMOLED…
