Good news for those of you who own a LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT set. You can now control your NXT robot (Android) from an Android 2.1 or 2.2 device! Called MINDdroid, it functions as a wireless remote control via a Bluetooth connection.  Thanks to the accelerometer, you can tilt your phone in pretty much any direction to get your robot to move forward as well as side to side. The action (open mouth, claws) button lets you activate the “Action Monitor” which Lego teases to be a lot of fun for folks who have a “Shooterbot or other robot using two motors for motion and have a spare motor for actions”. The application is free to download but a NXT 2.0 will set you back 9.99 a pop.
