Millennial Media emailed us this morning to tell us about their latest monthly Mobile Mix report.  As one of the bigger players in the mobile advertising space, these guys know a thing or two about what’s going on in the world of Android.  The September report confirms what we find ourselves reporting over and over again in that the platform is doing well and continues to shoot skyward.

According to their figures, Android revenue exceeded iPhone-only revenue on their network.  Further, Android ad requests have grown 26 percent month over month.  Since the beginning of the year, our favorite mobile OS has grown 1,283 percent! Also notable is that Motorola leapfrogged Samsung to grab the second spot in device manufacturers.  Thanks to the popularity of the Droid, Motorola drew 15 percent of impressions on the network last month.
