HTC Vivid owners will be happy to know that they’ll be getting Android 4.0 ICS updates today. The update will roll out to handsets today, says AT&T and the features of this release include face unlock, HTC Sense 3.5 and Beats by Dre audio.

AT&T has also promised to update more devices to Android 4.0, models like LG Nitro, Motorola Atrix 2, Pantech Burst, Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Captivate Glide. Sadly we have no time frame for these updates, since the carrier only said they will arrive in the following months. Do you have a HTC Vivid? Did you get the update? How’s that working out for you?

For those of you in Europe who have no idea what the HTC Vivid model is, know that this smartphone was released in November 2011, it measures 11.2 mm and weighs 176.9 grams. It packs an S-LCD 4.5 inch display with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution, 16 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, LTE connectivity, DLNA and an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture. ITs CPU is a dual core Snapdragon at 1.2 GHz. Basically what you’re looking at here is an upgraded HTC Sensation of sorts…
